In this list:

we present the 402 species of birds historically observed in Niokolo-Koba National Park, including two which can be considered as locally extinct. The list indicates historical patterns of observations of species when such patterns are evident; if only those species observed after 1992 are counted, 335 bird species would be considered as present in NKNP.
